There may be rumours of cold vibes between them, but Katrina Kaif and John Abraham seem to share terrific chemistry on the sets of Yashraj Films' New York .

We all know that John and Salman Khan have never gotten along together. And we are not unaware that Katrina and Bipasha Basu were not best of buddies on the sets of Race . Given these equations, it was presumed by many and John and Katrina would not gel together while working in director Kabir Khan's movie 'New York'.

However, the actor duo has belied the naysayers. According to reports, John and Katrina not just got along well while shooting the film in the US, they share sizzling chemistry before the camera (as can be seen in the picture above).

For better glimpses into their chemistry don't forget to catch the film's promos at the screenings of Yashraj Film's latest release Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi on Friday this week.

Meanwhile, 'New York', directed by Kabir Khan , is set for release early next year. It would be the first YRF to hit the theatres in 2009. Apart from John and Kat, the movie also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh . Irrfan Khan plays a pivotal role as well.

According to Kabir, "New York is a contemporary story of friendship set against the larger-than-life backdrop of a city often described as the centre of the world."

The movie's central plot revolves around the theme of how big mishaps transform one's life. The calamity makes news but the stories of the survivors and their struggle largely remains untold. So, 'New York' is the story of three friends and how their life alters after a tragedy.
